Dr. Jonelle Stovall received her B.S. degree in Computer Science from Duke University. While at Duke, Dr. Jonelle spent her time implementing science and technology within the middle school classrooms. She also spent time working at a Teacher’s Aid and tutoring students within the computer science department. Upon graduation she was presented with an award for outstanding academic achievement and support to the computer science department. After completing her degree, Dr. Jonelle went on to UNC Chapel Hill to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and later completed a general practice residency at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center.
Dr. Jonelle has always been interested in serving her community wherever she tends to go. While in dental school she participated in the annual Malawi service project, which aims to provide free dental care, supplies and education on HIV/AIDS in Malawi Africa. Dr. Jonelle Stovall has been on service trips to Honduras, St. Croix New Orleans as well as worked with several Mission of Mercy free dental clinics throughout the state of North Carolina. In addition to these clinics, Dr. Jonelle also worked with our homeless veterans in Philadelphia by participating in Project Stand Down and can be seen quite often working on the traveling Colgate Bus.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jonelle enjoys participating in several other service projects through her membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.
