Dr. Orlando R. Stovall, III
Dr. Stovall comes from a family of dentists: his retired father, "Papa Doc"; his sister, Dr. Sandy Stovall, who practices in Charlotte; and his daughter, Dr. Jonelle Stovall, who practices with him. Dr. Stovall is an alumnus of North Carolina Central University and Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry. He has practiced general and family dentistry, including restorative, implant, and cosmetic dentistry, since 1982.
Dr. Stovall is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and has completed extensive continuing education in the field. He is a past president of the Wayne County Dental Society and Old North State Dental Society.
Following his belief in giving back to the community, Dr. Stovall has provided free dental care through Mission of Mercy and Dentistry from the Heart. He has served as a trustee at Wayne Community College, chairman of the Wayne County Board of Health, and a member of the Wayne County Public School Board. He also received the Outstanding Citizen Award for the City of Goldsboro. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and fishing.
Dr. Jonelle Stovall
Dr. Jonelle Stovall received her B.S. degree in Computer Science from Duke University. While at Duke, Dr. Jonelle spent her time implementing science and technology within middle school classrooms. She also worked as a teacher's aide and tutored students within the computer science department. Upon graduation, she was presented with an award for outstanding academic achievement and support to the computer science department. Dr. Jonelle went on to UNC Chapel Hill to receive her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and later completed a general practice residency at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center.
Dr. Jonelle has always been interested in serving her community wherever she goes. While in dental school, she participated in the annual Malawi service project, which provides free dental care, supplies, and education on HIV/AIDS in Malawi. She has also joined service trips to Honduras, St. Croix, and New Orleans, worked with several Mission of Mercy free dental clinics throughout North Carolina, and served homeless veterans in Philadelphia through Project Stand Down and the traveling Colgate dental bus.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jonelle enjoys participating in additional service projects through her membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
